MICHAEL KORS IS COMING TO THE STREETS AT SOUTHPOINT ON SEPTEMBER 27th!

This is a really exciting time for The Streets at Southpoint!!

His namesake company, established in 1981, currently produces a range of products through his Michael Kors, KORS Michael Kors and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, including accessories, footwear, watches and jewelry, men’s and women’s ready to wear, and a full line of fragrance products. Michael Kors stores are located in some of the most prestigious cities in the world, including New York, Beverly Hills, Chicago, London, Milan, Paris, Munich, Istanbul, Dubai, Seoul, Tokyo and Hong Kong.

You can find this fabulous store at the lower level center court,  right next to Brighton’s!

Here’s a sneak peak at their Fall 2012 Collection
“Hello Fall! The crisp bite in the air, the cozy cableknits, all that rich leather – it’s impossible not to get caught up in the general buzz of the season. For autumn, I was inspired by the idea of finding your inner star. (Trust me, we all have a little diva in us somewhere.) Whether you love the polished glamour of larger than life Hollywood stars or the downtown cool of iconic rockers, fall is the time to seize your moment in the spotlight – and shine. So who do you want to be this season? A rock star? A movie star? Or maybe a little of both?”
-Michael Kors

MOVIE STAR or ROCK STAR
, which one are you!?

Fall Fashion at GAP – As Seen on My Carolina Today

17 Sep

The inspiring in-between season is here and its time to start thinking about a wardrobe shift!

Today, I featured some fabulous fall fashion trends from GAP on NBC 17 My Carolina Today with Valonda Calloway and Sharon Delaney.
If you missed the show, you can learn all about the latest trends by watching the segment!

Just click on the below image:

Corduroy is back in a big, big way!
I know for a lot of people the mere mention of this retro fabric stirs up visions of disco balls and bell bottoms, but have no fear, designers are taking the classic corduroy and giving it a serious twist with new styles, new fits and outrageous colors!
GAP is jam packed with corduroys right now…and they are hanging pretty in some seriously awesome colors.  On the show, I wore a pair of LAVA ORANGE broken-in straight cords and paired them with a stripe rugby t-shirt and a casual tailored fit blazer (lets face it, the schoolboy blazer goes with everything!).

Lava Orange Broken-In Straight Cord $49.95
Ponte Academy Blazer $88.00
Rugby Stripe T $24.95

Leather Leather Leather!
This fall, leather is everywhere and while leather is a staple material for a lot of winter jackets, the focus this year is on the BOMBER jacket!
Allison is wearing a Shrunken Leather Bomber Jacket in cognac – what I like about this jacket is its snap cuffs and slim tailored fit.  A lot of jackets this fall will be hitting at the hips and this jacket hits perfectly.
Pairing your leather with other textures like lace, as seen here, is always a good idea.  Contrasting textures are appealing to the eye and will gain you instant access in the fashion hall of fame!

 Deep Red
Rich, deep reds are finding their way into Fall 2012.  A fun and easy way to get in on trend is through your accessories.  Allison’s wristlet clutch and suede loafers are perfect accents to tie the outfit all together.

Shrunken Leather Bomber Jacket $298.00
1969 Ankle Zip Legging Jean $69.95
Red Suede Loafers $ 39.95
Chambray Denim Shirt $49.95

Mixed Fabric
GAP works exclusively with other brands to bring you a wide variety of style and collections – this mixed fabric Clu dress that our model Jillian is wearing, is no exception!  It’s fun, it’s flirty, it’s timeless!

Clu takes GAP’s favorite tees and dresses and reconstructs them with creative details that are chic, but timeless and versatile.  This dress is very forgiving and will be a go-to for years to come. People from thin to not-so-thin can wear it and that’s why it will stick with you through the seasons!

Prints
Pairing a simple dress with a scarf is a good way to break up the monotony.  This big leaf print scarf is rich with color and texture for that added touch of detail.

Big Leaf Print Scarf $29.95
Exclusive Gap + Clu Mixed Fabric Dress $79.95

 Military Style
This trend has been alive for awhile, but it’s really hitting hard for fall with the predominant color of military green.  This trend is hot for both men and women.
Dustin is wearing a peat green military fatigue jacket, simple and comfy, like real military clothing, but with a softer fabric and more detailed design to flatter the body.

Plaid
Designers are going wild for plaid this fall! Yes, its been coming and going from the fashion scene for many years, but this year it’s enchanting our eyes and complementing our outfits like never before!
Guys, an original fit plaid shirt can go a long way!

Fatigue Jacket $98.00
Convertible Madras Plaid Shirt $49.95
1969 Slim Fit Jeans (Resin Rinse Wash) $59.95

One of the keys to looking great this Fall is LAYERS! Don’t be afraid to get crazy with it either!  As long as you keep color and texture in the forefront of your outfit, you’ll have no problems!

Happy Fall Shopping!
